Bella Cruz

Mental Health Intern

Bella Cruz is a graduate student pursuing her Master of Social Work at the University of Utah, with an emphasis in mental health. She brings extensive experience supporting children and youth navigating life changes and transitions, anxiety, and self-esteem challenges. Bella has training and experience in approaches such as CBT and DBT and enjoys incorporating creative and artistic activities into her work with younger clients.

Bella uses a humanistic, client-centered approach and believes that growth begins with a supportive therapeutic relationship grounded in empathy, authenticity, and acceptance. She also draws from family and systems perspectives, seeking to understand the broader relationships, environments, and experiences that shape each client’s life. As a future social worker, Bella is committed to approaching her work with curiosity, openness, and an awareness of the social and systemic factors that can impact clients.

While Bella has primarily worked with children ages 5-12, she is eager to continue expanding her work with clients across the lifespan. Her clinical interests include children and adolescents, teens and young adults, anxiety and depression, self-esteem, life transitions, and relational challenges as she continues her education and training as a therapist.
