Dani Stanfield
Mental Health Intern
Dani Stanfield is a graduate student completing their master’s degree in social work through the University of Illinois. They come to social work through a background in disability advocacy and are passionate about understanding how larger systems, environments, and life circumstances can impact mental health and well-being.
Dani’s approach is client-centered and focused on helping clients build skills and strategies that can be practiced both inside and outside of therapy. They believe therapy should be collaborative and see their role as supporting and guiding clients as they identify what works for them and move toward their own goals for growth and healing.
Dani’s clinical interests include working with teens and young adults, LGBTQIA+ clients, and individuals experiencing ADHD, chronic illness, depression, anxiety, trauma, intimate partner violence, and eating-related concerns. They are also interested in providing sex-positive and sex-worker-affirming care.
