MAXX POTTER

Clinical Intern

Maxx is a graduate student pursuing a master’s degree in professional mental health counseling at the Lewis & Clark Graduate School. He has extensive experience working with adolescents and young adults in a variety of settings, and they are especially passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals and young people.

Maxx’s therapeutic approach integrates existential, cognitive behavioral, and dialectical behavioral methods. He also enjoys bringing art, humor, and creativity into the counseling process as a way to deepen connection and foster change. They operate from a multicultural and social justice lens and believe that our identities are complex and can shape both the challenges we face and the sources of strength and connection in our lives.

He works with clients navigating a range of concerns, including anxiety, ADHD, identity development, and those seeking support or letters for gender affirming care. They welcome all the ways identity may or may not become relevant in their work with clients, creating space for authenticity and growth.
