PESHA WASSERSTROM
Professional Counselor Associate
Pesha uses a collaborative approach to counseling, working with clients to create an accepting, nonjudgmental space where they can explore their stories and experiences. She worked with kids and adults navigating complicated family systems, anxiety, relational concerns, identity exploration, complex trauma, and life transitions. Before becoming a therapist, she dedicated over fifteen years to working in schools, which gave her a close-up view of the ways educational systems can cause harm or fail to provide crucial support, particularly for BIPOC, queer, and neurodiverse people. Pesha is passionate about working with youth, caregivers, educators, and adults, and helping clients understand their needs and advocate for themselves. Pesha brings warmth, curiosity, creativity, and a commitment to honoring the complexity of our intersecting identities and the impacts of systemic inequality. She believes that cultural humility and anti-oppressive practices are central to meaningful healing work.
